MAP158 - Flightcell DZMx installaiton

The modification covers the complete installation of a Flightcell DZMx, with enabled satellite and cellular voice communication (interfaced with the aircraft ICS), as well as flight-following (aircraft tracking)

The installation is comprised of the following:

  • Flightcell DZMx all-in-one unit (transceiver + control panel) installed in the cockpit instrument panel / centre console
  • Dual (Iridium + GPS) external antenna installed on a custom-made bracket on the fenestron
  • Cellular antenna installed on the belly
  • USB/Ethernet maintenance ports on the side of the centre console

The modification includes (customer documents):

  • Mechanical installation drawings
  • Mechanical manufacturing drawings (for e.g. brackets and adapter plates required)
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Engineering orders
  • Ground- / Flight- Test plans
  • Instruction for Continued Airworthiness

MAP 21 achieved an EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organisation Approval in 2007, EASA.21J.326, which enables us to approve modifications to the aviation industry as a delegated EASA authority.
