MAP043 – Flight Data Management – Quick Access Recorder Installation

The modification covers the installation of a Flight Data Vision 200-E20-series Solid State Quick Access Recorder (SSQAR) on several AS365N3 and EC155 aircrafts (customised installation location according to each configuration). The SSQAR is a flight data recorder that is connected to the Solid State Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorder (SSCVFDR)’s output of the MFDAU. The SSQAR captures the ARINC 573 data stream sent to the CVFDR. The flight data is recorded on a PCMCIA card. The data recorded can subsequently be downloaded on a PC fitted with a PCMCIA card reader to support the FOQA/HOMP analysis. The SSQAR main characteristics are summarized as follows:

  • Simultaneous recording of several input lines: ARINC 573, ARINC 429, RS422, Discrete
  • Parameter selection and sampling modes available for each ARINC 429 input line
  • Maintenance Data available through RS422 line
  • Acquisition settings are fully and easily configurable by the operator
  • All recordings are precisely tagged with date, time and aircraft settings

The modification includes (customer documents):

  • Mechanical installation drawings
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Wiring routing drawing
  • Engineering orders
  • Instruction for Continued Airworthiness
