The modification provides instructions and approval for the removal of an existing HF 9100 radio system for the sake of reducing the overall weight and drag of the helicopter and extending the range / improving the fuel economy. The weight removed by the modification is in excess of 20kg, while retaining all wiring interconnection to allow simplified reconfiguration if required. The system is comprised of a:
